Mission statement

Dayout's mission is to transform how we view planning by highlighting the unique ideas we all bring to the table and emphasizing that we’re in this together. Planning is a vital aspect of our lives, and by empowering each other, we make the process not only simpler but also enrich the human experience.

The man with the vision

I’ve always had a complicated relationship with modern planning apps. Despite their sleek interfaces and endless features, they all felt the same. I found myself yearning for the tangible satisfaction of writing things down in my notebook. But I soon realized that while my method worked for me, it fell short for others and it could be better. I wanted to create something that would bridge the gap between the structured world of planning and the spontaneity that so many crave.

I started interviewing people from all walks of life, students juggling classes, busy professionals, and parents managing a chaotic household. Everyone had their own unique approach to planning, but a common theme emerged: the struggle to balance structure with flexibility.

That’s when the idea for Dayout was born. Imagine an app that caters to both planners and non-planners alike. A platform where those who thrive on meticulous organization can lay out their day using a 24-hour time-block format, while others can effortlessly discover plans that resonate with their interests.
